Patriots Targeting Titans’ HC Mike Vrabel to be the Successor to Belichick?
Tennessee Titans HC Mike Vrabel has been under scrutiny this season, as the Titans have underperformed this season and are on an abysmal losing trajectory. Tennessee has an appalling 3-12 record in their last 15 games, and many have shouldered the blame on Vrabel due to his poor in-game decisions and overconfidence in coordinators. Though Vrabel and the Titans have struggled over the past year, multiple teams around the league still hold Coach Vrabel in very high regard, especially the team that just inducted him into their Hall of Fame...

Vrabel, a central part of the Patriots' 20-year dynasty, is still under contract for multiple years in Tennessee. That means New England would have to trade for the former NFL LB, as it doesn't appear Amy Adams Strunk plans to fire her longtime coach. Strunk's opinion on Vrabel could change if this season continues to go south for the Titans, but as of right now, the Patriots would have to give up a fortune to see their former All-Pro command the team...
Is this report by Ben Volin correct and credible? Absolutely! Violin has covered the Patriots for over 15 years and is one of the team's prominent reporters. Will Mike Vrabel be the head coach of the Patriots anytime soon? Probably not, but you never know. New England would have to offer the Titans something they can't resist, which would be a first-round pick and then some. On the other hand, Vrabel could be on the open market soon if Tennessee continues to go down this losing path. Amy Adams Strunk shockingly fired GM Jon Robinson in the middle of the 2022 season and could do the same to Vrabel if he continues to be mediocre. But as always, only time will tell...
